Parts Required

1 Interface serial cable (check the table below for the appropriate cable for the device

that you are configuring)

Note: Discharge

static electricity from

your clothes or body

before handling the

RAN

232 card. Touch

a metal surface to

ground yourself or

use a grounding

strap.

Installation

If you have not already done so, mount the

RANCC

16 into the rack.

If it is not already off, remove the front panel of the

RANCC

16 by loosening the fou

small thumbscrews.

Set the

DIP

switches on the

RAN

232 card to the appropriate settings for the device

that you will be controlling (e.g.,

RANMENU

)
